Jared Bernstein, Senior Fellow, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities

Jared Bernstein joined the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in May 2011 as a Senior Fellow.  From 2009 to 2011, Mr. Bernstein was the Chief Economist and Economic Adviser to Vice President Joe Biden, executive director of the White House Task Force on the Middle Class, and a member of President Obama’s economic team.

Mr. Bernstein’s areas of expertise include federal and state economic and fiscal policies, income inequality and mobility, trends in employment and earnings, international comparisons, and the analysis of financial and housing markets.

Prior to joining the Obama administration, Mr. Bernstein was a senior economist and the director of the Living Standards Program at the Economic Policy Institute in Washington, D.C.

Between 1995 and 1996, he held the post of deputy chief economist at the U.S. Department of Labor.

He is the author and coauthor of numerous books for both popular and academic audiences, including “Crunch: Why Do I Feel So Squeezed?” and nine editions of “The State of Working America.” Mr. Bernstein has published extensively in various venues, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Financial Times, and Research in Economics and Statistics. He is an on-air commentator for the cable stations CNBC and MSNBC and hosts jaredbernsteinblog.com.

Mr. Bernstein holds a PhD in Social Welfare from Columbia University.

Brad Avakian, Oregon Labor Commissioner

Brad AvakianBrad Avakian began his career as an employment and civil rights attorney giving voice to workers who were seeking fair wages, better working conditions, and freedom from discrimination in the workplace. Later, as a state legislator, Mr. Avakian passed laws to expand collective bargaining rights, crack down on predatory lending, and prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. Since 2008, Mr. Avakian has served as Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI), where he has stepped up enforcement of Oregon's civil rights laws and partnered with Oregon’s business and labor communities to strengthen workforce development efforts.

 

Rachel Bell, Director of Customer Experience at Revelation

Rachel BellRachel Bell is the Director of Customer Experience at Revelation, a Portland-based market research software company. Ms. Bell has over a decade of experience in client services and product development in the software, market research and publishing fields. In addition to managing the client services and technical support teams and serving as product manager at Revelation, she often acts as a translator between the client and technical staff - bridging the gap in communication between business speak and tech speak. A native of West Virginia, Ms. Bell's career path has covered both coasts. It led her from the Mountain State to New York City and ultimately landing here in Portland.

 

Eileen Brady, Co-Founder, New Seasons Market

Eileen BradyEileen Brady, co-founder of New Seasons Market, is a local business and sustainability pioneer. Ms. Brady founded the Food and Farms program at Ecotrust, a leading conservation economy non-profit committed to linking regional farmers, fishers, and ranchers to urban consumers. Ms. Brady served as the Chair of Zenger Farm, an urban agriculture park for school children, a member of the Metro Blue Ribbon Bike Trails Commission and on the Oregon Business Association Board. Ms. Brady currently serves as an advisor to VOIS, a sustainable business trade association and the Portland Sustainability Institute.

 

Eric Brody, Founder, Shift Advantage

Eric BrodyEric Brody has successfully designed and implemented a wide range of strategies and initiatives including projects relating to environmental scorecards, reporting, stakeholder development, raw material sourcing, factory code of conduct, product design, packaging, consumer education, media outreach and product recycling. Prior to launching Shift Advantage, Mr. Brody spent 7 years as Sustainability Business Integration Manager for Nike and more recently three years as Sustainability Manager for Nau, a technical outdoor and urban clothing company recognized for its innovative sustainability practices.

 

Charlie Burr, OLCV

Charlie BurrCharlie Burr serves as the chair of Oregon League of Conservation Voters’ political action committee, the political arm of Oregon's environmental community. In that capacity, he has worked with grassroots supporters to elect pro-environment candidate at both the local and state and level. During the past two election cycles, OLCV has endorsed more than 200 candidates, winning 70-percent of its targeted races.

 

 

Jason Busch, Executive Director of Oregon Wave Energy Trust (OWET)

Jason BuschJason Busch is Executive Director of Oregon Wave Energy Trust (OWET), a nonprofit public-private partnership funded by the Oregon Innovation Council to support the responsible development of wave energy in Oregon and the jobs this new industry will create. Prior to joining Oregon Wave Energy Trust, Mr. Busch was Principal at Sustainable Legal Solutions LLC, where he provided legal services specializing in renewable energy company start-ups and project development. Mr. Busch is actively involved in both business and community organizations. He is on the Energy Trust of Oregon Renewable Energy Advisory Committee, Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development Territorial Sea Plan Rulemaking Project Committee, Northwest Marine Renewable Energy Center Mobile Ocean Test Berth Advisory Committee, and is vice-chair of the Steering Committee for Oregon League of Conservation Voters of Multnomah County. Mr. Busch also serves on the board of Northwest Neighborhood Energy.

 

Graeme Byrd, Business Development & Collaboration Manager, FMYI

Graeme ByrdWith a commitment to the triple bottom line and building a better future, Graeme has over 10 years of experience engaging his generation to be change agents within their organizations and community by using new technologies and tools to communicate and collaborate. As the Business Development & Collaboration Manager at FMYI [for my innovation], a collaboration software company committed to positively affecting society through sustainability and technology, Graeme helps thousands of companies, nonprofits, government agencies and universities, including Nike, Aflac, HBO, Hyatt use FMYI to collaborate. He is the chapter leader for the Net Impact Portland Professional Chapter and serves on Oregon Environmental Council's Emerging Leaders Board.

 

Erin Diamond, Associate Program Manager, Fluid Market Strategies

Erin DiamondIn addition to her responsibilities on the management team at Fluid Market Strategies, Erin Diamond manages the day-to-day implementation of the Efficient Homes Initiative for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. Ms. Diamond's diverse background includes ownership of a green building consultancy, retail management of a large sustainable materials supplier, field coordination at Antarctic research stations for the United States Antarctic Program, and work in the construction and renewables industries.

 

Ben Fowler, Online Community Manager for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA)

Ben FowlerBen Fowler is the Online Community Manager for NEEA. Throughout his 10+ years of online experience, Mr. Fowler's focus and expertise has always been in customer service, engagement and community development. Mr. Fowler currently manages Conduit, a social media site dedicated to accelerating energy efficiency in the Northwest. He received his BS in General Studies, Summa Cum Laude, from Portland State University. You can find Mr. Fowler talking about online communities and engagement on twitter.

 

John Gardner, Director of Business Services for Worksystems, Inc. (WSI)

John GardnerJohn Gardner is the Director of Business Services for Worksystems, Inc. (WSI). WSI is a nonprofit organization serving the City of Portland, Multnomah and Washington counties. The mission of WSI is to coordinate a regional workforce system that supports individual prosperity and business competitiveness. Mr. Gardner also staffs Construction Apprenticeship & Workforce Solutions, Inc. (CAWS) a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the representation of people of color and women in the construction trades. Under his direction WSI and CAWS joined as part of the Community for Equity, a collaboration established in 2009 to implement the Green Careers Training Project - a Pathway out of Poverty initiative funded through the Department of Labor. The Community for Equity collaborative targeted hundreds of low-income individuals living in areas of high poverty for "Green Job" training and employment services.

 

Jana Gastellum, Program Director, Climate Protection

Jana GastellumJana Gastellum leads the Oregon Environmental Council's work to protect Oregon's people and places from climate change. Her work has supported further building Oregon's energy efficiency marketplace, transitioning the state's power mix from coal to clean energy, and creating opportunities for cleaner, low-carbon fuel production and use. She previously served on the United Nations Foundation/Energy Future Coalition joint climate and energy team where she focused on domestic and international opportunities for clean energy development and the nexus between energy security, climate change and poverty alleviation. She helped launch the 25x’25 renewable energy alliance and built capacity within the agricultural and forestry communities around the role these sectors can play in a low-carbon economy. Ms. Gastellum also managed a soils laboratory that analyzed the impacts of climate change on ecosystems at the University of Michigan. She received a B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University.

 

Troy Gruver, Director of NW Supply Operations, U.S. General Services Administration (GSA)

Troy GruverTroy Gruver began his career with the US Army at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska before joining the General Services Administration in 1996. He started with GSA, working at the Global Supply Store located on Elmendorf Air Force Base, and worked his way through the ranks of Supply Operations before becoming the Director of the Northwest Supply Operations Center in Auburn, WA in 2009. Mr. Gruver has a vast understanding of the Federal Supply Chain and has participated in its transformation toward sustainability throughout his 19 years in Federal Service. He has led efforts to increase the availability of environmentally friendly products at the Global Supply Stores and focuses most of his time supporting GSA customers around the world with their various supply needs.

 

Amy Hillman, Area Manager for ECOtality and the EV Project

Amy HillmanAmy Hillman is an Area Manager for ECOtality and the EV Project serving the Portland Metro area. She is responsible for promotion and sales of commercial charge infrastructure, public charge infrastructure and fast charge infrastructure. In this role she works with commercial businesses to maximize the federal credits under the EV Project and with all parties through EVSE installation and support. Prior to her work with ECOtality, Ms. Hillman led and helped transform business team at Sustainable Industries. Ms. Hillman holds an MBA from Bainbridge Graduate Institute. Ms. Hillman serves on the board of Drive Oregon and multiple sustainability related advisory boards.

 

Margi Hoffman, Strategies 360, Oregon Operations

Margi HoffmanMargi Hoffman joined Strategies 360 after a decade of working in public policy, non-profit advocacy, politics and government relations. In the 2008 election cycle, Ms. Hoffman took a leave of absence to run the coordinated campaign in Oregon, helping to achieve victories for U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, U.S. Representative Kurt Schrader, three statewide officials and eleven state lawmakers. Most recently, Ms. Hoffman has worked extensively on clean energy regulation and incentive structures, removing market barriers to bring more energy efficiency and renewable energy online. Ms. Hoffman serves on the boards of Self Enhancement, Inc., Basic Rights Oregon, The Oregon League of Conservation Voters and the Great West Institute.

 

Alison Hopcroft, Associate Manager, Fluid Market Strategies

Alison HopcroftAlison Hopcroft is an accomplished consultant, program manager and educator. Ms. Hopcroft has six years of experience providing sustainability consulting and carbon management services to businesses, public agencies, non-profits and educational institutions. Recent projects have included developing specialized carbon calculators and corporate sustainability reports, as well as working with manufacturers to meet Walmart’s Supplier Sustainability requirements. She has developed sustainable purchasing policies and procurement trainings for public agencies, as well as workshops on sustainability in public infrastructure and public-private partnerships for sustainability. Ms. Hopcroft also manages residential energy efficiency programs at Fluid.

 

Michael Huber, P.E., Mechanical Engineer

Michael HuberMichael Huber is a mechanical engineer who worked in energy conservation analysis, program design, and project and program management at the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) for 22 years. For the past 15 years he has been a consultant and general contractor on behalf of other agencies, under BPA’s Federal Program, helping enact energy efficiency surveys, designs, and construction. Mr. Huber currently manages a special program with the Navy, wherein BPA brokers annual multi-million dollar financings for bundles of projects at all ten NW bases, three of these are served directly by BPA. Michael lives in Seattle with his wife, 8 year old son, and 4 chickens.

 


Michael Jung, Policy Director at Silver Spring Networks

Michael JungMichael Jung serves as Policy Director at Silver Spring Networks, a leading provider of networking equipment and smart grid services for utilities across the country and around the world. He was appointed by Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber as chairman of the state's ten year energy plan task force; is a founding board member of Smart Grid Oregon; and serves as an expert lecturer with the National Regulatory Research Institute and Portland State University. Prior to joining Silver Spring Networks, Michael served as an energy policy advisor to the campaign and administration of Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, where he was an architect of milestone energy legislation in 2008, Ohio Senate Bill 221.

 


George Karayannis, Business Development Executive, Lockheed Martin

George KarayannisGeorge Karayannis has over 25 years of emerging technology sales, business development and marketing leadership at Fortune 100 firms & high-tech startups. Mr. Karayannis currently serves as a business development executive at Lockheed Martin Energy Solutions. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Karayannis helped lead several wireless energy management start ups, co-founded a non-profit organization focused on developing a sustainable national energy policy and began restoring a 100-year old opera house to LEED Silver status. Mr. Karayannis has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a BA from the University of Dayton and is an LEED Accredited Professional.

 


Duane F. Larson, Director of Energy Efficiency Strategy, Pacific Gas and Electric Company

Duane LarsonDuane Larson is the Director of Energy Efficiency Strategy at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Mr. Larson has spent thirty one years focused on energy efficiency at PG&E as an Energy Auditor, Program Manager, Supervisor, Manager, and Director. Mr. Larson has served on the Board of Directors of the National Fenestration Rating Council, Consortium for Energy Efficiency, and Home Energy magazine. Mr. Larson's work requires him to bring together the different perspectives and needs of state energy regulators, manufacturers, retailers, local governments, energy service providers, customers, and the utility company to meet the needs of California’s diverse business and residential customers.

 

Ross Macfarlane, Senior Advisor, Business Partnerships (Seattle)

Ross MacfarlaneRoss Macfarlane manages the Climate Solutions Business Partnership program, which helps build support in the region’s corporate community for strong climate and energy policy and private investment in solutions. Mr. Macfarlane is active in promoting good climate and energy policy on a state and federal level. Mr. Macfarlane recently managed and facilitated Sustainable Aviation Fuels Northwest, the first stakeholder effort in the nation to point a path to low-carbon alternatives to power the next generation of flight. A Northwest native and a graduate of Pomona College and University of Washington School of Law, Mr. Macfarlane brings more than 30 years of experience working on public policy and environmental issues.

 

James Marvin, Commander United States Navy-Retired, Owner and Founder, Federal Green Solutions

James MarvinJames Marvin began his career with the United States Navy in 1990 and spent fifteen years serving in the Pacific, United States, and in the Middle East before becoming Director of Operations at Naval Special Warfare Group FOUR (NSWG-4) in Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Marvin was promoted to Commander the following year. Although he screened for command in 2009, Mr. Marvin declined his orders for personal reasons and retired with 20 years of service. Mr. Marvin is a frequent keynote speaker on national security and has written numerous papers on various topics related to national security. Mr. Marvin is an active member of Environmental Entrepreneurs and is a senior fellow at the Truman National Security Project in Washington, DC. James now lives in Seattle, WA with his family and has his own consulting company focused on helping clean technology companies support the military’s efforts to reduce their oil dependence.

 

Mary Nolan, Oregon Representative HD 36

Mary NolanRepresentative Mary Nolan is serving her sixth term in the Oregon House of Representatives. Ms. Nolan currently co-chairs the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Public Safety as well as serves on the Joint Ways & Means Committee. Ms. Nolan is also a member of the House Judiciary Committee. As the head of the Bureau of Environmental Services and earlier as Director of Public Works Maintenance, Ms. Nolan helped lead landmark improvements in protecting the Willamette River and environment, launching curbside recycling, repairing Portland roads and bridges, and managing public resources to save millions of dollars. Ms. Nolan is currently running for Portland City Council.

 

Vince Porter, Executive Director of Oregon's Governor's Office of Film and Television

Vince PorterSince Vince Porter began his tenure as Executive Director of Oregon's Governor's Office of Film and Television (in 2008), the industry has seen dramatic growth. In 2011, the total amount of film and television and television commercial production in Oregon exceeded $110million of direct spending in Oregon. The prior record was in 2009 ($62million). Prior to joining the Film Office, Mr. Porter was Vice President of Production for Showtime Networks where he supervised the production of over 160 episodes of television series and more than 32 television movies. For the last two years of his twelve-year tenure at Showtime, Mr. Porter was in charge of the production department for Showtime's award winning Original Programming. Series under his supervision included "Dexter", "Californication", and "The Tudors". In the past few years the film office has spearheaded an effort to provide more green resources for film and television productions in the state.

 

George Northcroft, Regional Administrator, U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) - Northwest/Artic Region

George NorthcroftGeorge Northcroft became Regional Administrator of GSA's Northwest/Arctic Region on April 12, 2010. As the Northwest/Arctic Regional Administrator, Mr. Northcroft oversees all of GSA’s operations in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington; including management of federal real estate and information technology. Mr. Northcroft previously served as Director of Business Relations & Economic Development for King County in the State of Washington. During his tenure, Mr. Northcroft was responsible for the retention, expansion, and recruitment of businesses in King County; developed strategies to promote economic revitalization; fostered healthy business relationships; and led county initiatives with a range of business clusters, including information technology, logistics and international trade, and environmental/alternative energy.

 

Paul L. Royalty, Manager of Energy Efficiency, El Paso Electric Company

Paul RoyaltyA graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology, Mr. Royalty initially worked for Square D Company for over 20 years in varying Engineering and Marketing capacities. Mr. Royalty was instrumental in the development of electronic ballasts in the 1980s and has also worked in the lighting field with major lighting manufacturers such as Philips and Osram Sylvania. Prior to retirement in 1991, Mr. Royalty worked with an ESCO implementing of energy efficiency projects. In 2009, Mr. Royalty re-entered the workforce as Manager of Energy Efficiency for El Paso Electric Company (EPE). Mr. Royalty has provided the leadership for EPE to surpass the 2009, 2010, & 2011 goals set by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission.

 

Alex Schay, Owner and Founder, Carbon Solutions Northwest

Alex SchayAlex Schay was introduced to green house gasses in 2003 while working with Frishberg & Partners in Ukraine conducting financial due diligence for a greenhouse gasses-reduction project. In 2007, Mr. Schay founded Carbon Solutions Northwest, which works to help project owners develop, verify, register, and sell the resulting carbon credits and Renewable Energy Certificates. Mr. Schay also works with small- and medium-sized companies measure their GHG emissions and mitigate their carbon footprint. Mr. Schay has a Masters in International Management (MIM) from The American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona, and is a regular speaker on the topics of biomass-to-energy and GHG-reduction issues.

 

Derek Smith, CEO, Clean Energy Works Oregon

Derek SmithDerek Smith has been in a leadership role in triple bottom line ventures for more than a decade. Prior to Clean Energy Works Oregon, Mr. Smith acted as Policy Advisor for City of Portland’s Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, project managing the Clean Energy Works Portland (CEWP) pilot program. In the late ‘90s, Mr. Smith developed one of the first sustainability programs in the retail world at $225 million multi-channel retailer Norm Thompson Outfitters. As Director of Operations at YOLO Colorhouse, a venture capital funded green lifestyle brand offering premium zero VOC paint, Mr. Smith was a member of the management team that supported 500% annual growth. Mr. Smith has also consulted on sustainability strategy to a number of leading companies and organizations. He has an MBA from the University of Oregon.

 

Bob Stacey

Bob StaceyBob Stacey is a community leader, activist, and manager of agencies that have successfully worked to improve Portland’s neighborhoods and transportation. Mr. Stacey has served the Portland community since 1975 through his work at 1000 Friends of Oregon, the City of Portland, the Oregon Governor’s office, the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon, as Chief of Staff to Congressman Blumenauer, and more. Most recently Mr. Stacey served as an Executive at 1000 Friends of Oregon where he lead state-wide opposition to the harmful development authorized by Measure 37 and conceived and directed “Envision Oregon,” a civic engagement process that involved more than 2000 Oregonians in dialogue about the future of Oregon's land use planning system. Mr. Stacey is currently running for Portland Metro Councilor for District 6.

 

Matt Thorn, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder, Source 44

Matt ThornMatt Thorn has over 15 years of experience in both web and hardware integrated software. Mr. Thorn began his career researching new sensor technology for the British Defense Department, heading a team responsible for producing a portable mine detection platform. Prior to co-founding Source 44, Mr. Thorn built and led a team of engineers to produce a first-of-a-kind networked security device controlled via a distributed application. Mr. Thorn has worked in research and development for the British Military, as well as in the telecommunications and security industries. Previously, Mr. Thorn worked as a consultant internationally on the development and refinement of major telecommunications and messaging software platforms throughout the UK, Sweden, Australia and US.

 

Phil Welker, Excutive Director, PECI

Phil WelkerPhil Welker leads PECI's development of energy services programs. He is dedicated to pursuing and implementing innovative approaches to energy and resource efficiency and is committed to education and long-term transformation of energy use practices. He oversees the management of all PECI projects and programs, leads strategic planning and program design, and participates in a variety of efficiency industry forums. Mr. Welker's experience includes more than 20 years in the energy efficiency and commissioning industries. He has held planning and management positions in a variety of government, regional planning, and nonprofit organizations. In addition to the industry leadership roles listed above, Mr. Welker is a member of the Conservation Advisory Council for the Energy Trust of Oregon and the Program Committee for the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance.

 

James West, Assistant General Manager, Customer & Energy Services, Snohomish County PUD

James WestJames West is Assistant General Manager, Customer & Energy Services, at Snohomish County PUD, the second largest publicly owned utility in the state of Washington and the 12th largest in the US. In his role as AGM, Mr. West provides leadership and strategic direction for the PUD’s energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. Prior to joining Snohomish PUD he spent 29 years at the Tennessee Valley Authority, serving in a variety of roles across all aspects of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Mr. West currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and previously represented TVA on the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency Leadership Group.

 


Dan Wildenhaus, Senior Building Science Specialist, Fluid Market Strategies

Dan WildenhausDan Wildenhaus is the Senior Building Science Specialist for Fluid Market Strategies and also serves as the Technical Coordinator for Seattle’s Community Power Works for Home and Small Business programs. Mr. Wildenhaus also provides Building Science consultation, training, and presentation services as the Technical Manager for Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes. Mr. Wildenhaus has over 18 years of experience working directly for contractors, doing energy audits, weatherization repairs, and consulting and analysis for private clients in both New Construction and the existing buildings market.

 


Aaron Wines, Senior Program Manager, Lockheed Martin

Aaron WinesAaron Wines has over nine years of experience implementing commercial, industrial, and residential energy efficiency programs for both utilities and public benefits agencies. As a Senior Program Manager at Lockheed Martin, Mr. Wines is responsible for management and business development activities related to all facets of energy efficiency program delivery and execution in the Pacific Northwest and Midwest. With a staff of over 50 talented energy efficiency professionals, programs under Mr. Wines’s management saved over 350,000,000 kWh and 3,000,000 therms in 2011. Mr. Wines holds a BA in English from the University of Maryland and resides in Portland with his wife and two young sons.

 


Stephen J. Wright, Administrator and Chief Executive Officer, Bonneville Power Administration

Stephen J. WrightStephen J. Wright is the rare chief executive who really did come up through the ranks. Mr. Wright began his career in 1981 at the Bonneville Power Administration in the agency’s conservation office as an entry-level GS-9. Today, Mr. Wright is BPA’s Administrator and Chief Executive Officer, with the second longest tenure of any administrator. During Mr. Wright’s tenure, BPA has moved forward on several transmission projects that will bring more renewable resources, particularly wind power, to the region and at the same time provide greater reliability. Wind on BPA’s system has grown from 25 megawatts in 1998 to more than 2,800 MW in 2010. Under Mr. Wright’s direction, BPA is working with the region to integrate as much as 6,000 megawatts of wind energy into the regional grid by 2013.

 

Renee Yama, Sr. Account Manager, Fluid

Renee YamaRenee Yama, a Sr. Marketing Account Manager with Fluid Market Strategies, has spent the last four years working to effectively increase consumer awareness for the Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes program and its participating builders. She worked on the 2009/2010 EPA, AESP, and AMA MAX award winning 'Be An Energy Star' Campaign. Ms. Yama has also supported the NW Ductless Heat Pump project, Progress Energy Carolinas New Homes program, and has played an integral role in the development of the annual Green Professionals Conference. Bill YoungerBill Younger is a nationally recognized instructor for the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) with over 25 years of experience in the development and administration of energy efficiency programs for utilities and state energy offices. As an energy specialist for the Washington State Energy Office and the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Mr. Younger managed educational outreach programs, conservation retrofit grant programs, and implemented monitoring procedures to evaluate post-retrofit performance of energy efficiency projects in commercial and institutional buildings. Prior to joining CLEAResult, Mr. Younger was the Manager of Business Energy Management for Puget Sound Energy (PSE) responsible for energy efficiency programs for commercial and industrial customers.
