2012 Green Professionals Conference Information
Join us for the fourth annual Green Professionals Conference on February 16, 2012 from 8am – 6pm at the The Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
More than just a job fair, the Green Professionals Conference brings together public and private companies and corporations, government agencies, elected officials, universities, trade schools and nonprofits under one roof with the goal of furthering sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energy industry growth.
The 2012 conference will include nearly 20 educational sessions with expert speakers covering energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability and green job growth. Additionally, the conference will include on-site career services for job-seekers and an exhibit hall where sponsors and exhibitors can interact with current industry leaders and recruit a new generation of green professionals.
Career Services
Career Services is an annual feature of the Green Professionals Conference available to all attendees. Hosted by Compass Human Resources, attendees can sit down with experienced career advisors with a variety of backgrounds and perspectives to review their resume, learn new interview tips, and receive advice on leveraging their skill set to enter the clean energy sector. Some of the brightest minds in career development and planning are featured here every year.

Getting to the Oregon Convention Center
Getting to the Oregon Convention Center (OCC) couldn't be easier – especially by public transportation or bike. TriMet MAX light rail runs directly to the Oregon Convention Center, click here to plan your trip. If traveling by bike, click here to see a bike rack parking map for the OCC. The OCC is accessible via Interstate Freeway I-5 North from exit 302A (Rose Quarter) and I-84 West Exit 1 (Lloyd Boulevard). It is bound by Holladay Street, NE Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard, Lloyd Boulevard and NE First Avenue.

Oregon Convention Center Sustainability
Built with sustainability in mind, the Oregon Convention Center (OCC) has long held a leadership role in green building and other environmentally responsible business practices. In 2004, the OCC was the first convention center to earn LEED® for Existing Buildings certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. In 2008, the facility was recertified at the Silver level and operates with a pledge to continually reduce its environmental footprint, and to educate its staff, clients and visitors on the importance of working together toward a sustainable future.
